@DeanPreston & @sfmta yet another pedestrian struck on Haight/laguna. 2nd in 3 days! 5th in less # of weeks (at least). Closing page to cars did exactly what we said it would for 2 years. Make Haight even worse. Do something
@DeanPreston At least. Those are the ones I’ve seen. Making it safer for bicyclists is great, but the added traffic on haight due to the closure of page is making this intersection more dangerous
@1ruthlessmom @BobbyJo54648572 @Scott_Wiener it's 15. But 10y difference seems a bit much to me. But that's the current law. This new one only makes that apply to both straight sex AND gay sex. If you don't like the current law, change it.
@ZDoggMD I just saw this on FB. I watched first 15 minutes, then tried to watch the next 55. Two points right off the bat: 1) Wow, way to invade a patient's privacy and 2) she brings up the trope that many patients are being wrongly recorded of dying from COVID-19. Truth w/ lies.
What? Parents and grandparents are not worth caring about? Children are little petri dishes and vectors. You don't close the schools just for the children, you close them for the COMMUNITY. They might be fine (thank goodness!) but they can spread it and others won't
Decision by SFUSD and @SFUSD_Supe is all well and good. But the reason stated is both ignorant and dangerous:
"children have not been shown to be a high-risk group for serious illness from this virus, SFUSD is planning to keep our schools open at this time. "
City and school district leaders are working together to identify measures to keep the City’s public schools open.
At this time the majority of health experts do not recommend broad public school closures, as schools are an essential service
