Reporting from Mark Schlabach now included here on a filing in his buyout issue with Cincinnati today: Sorsby's attorneys filed a motion later Monday to dismiss Cincinnati's lawsuit, claiming the $1 million penalty for leaving is unlawful under Ohio law.

The issue with the claim is we have guys who played college basketball and worked in the NFL. That has NEVER happened in the NBA. Every person playing in the NBA either played professionally over seas or played college ball. There is no one who didn’t play basketball prior

I have no doubt there are NFL players that had they stuck with basketball would be playing in the NBA. The thing is… they didn’t.

The same is true in the NBA. Had NBA players stuck with football instead they would be in the NFL.
