Thom Tillis, walking into my live shot, makes news on two fronts.
He says he’s a NO on Trump’s immigration bill without amendment killing weaponization fund.
He warns he’s a NO on Blanche if any equivocation on J6.
If there is, “you don’t even have a (chance) of getting my vote”
Every Republican campaigned on keeping men out of girls sports. We made a promise to our voters. But now instead of delivering on those promises, Senate Republicans are caving to Democrats.
I cannot support any bill on college sports that doesn’t include these basic protections and will vote No on the Protect College Sports Act. This is our one chance to get this done, we have to deliver.
Florida processes more than 10 million votes in a matter of hours.
California takes days — or sometimes even weeks — to count the votes.
It’s pathetic — and it’s corrosive to our civic culture.
@GregAbbott_TX Governor Greg Abbott, numerous conservative governors have publicly rejected the celebration of Pride Month and have chosen instead to emphasize the importance of the family as ordained by God. As Texans who hold to biblical convictions, we’ve seen nothing from your office on this issue. Will Texas take a clear stand in support of faith, family, and the biblical understanding of marriage and the family?
While I have concerns about all three branches of government, the Judicial branch concerns me the most. Increasingly, it seems that some judges are making decisions based more on political opposition to President Trump than on a faithful application of the law. When judges allow personal or political preferences to influence their rulings, confidence in the judiciary suffers and the rule of law is weakened. At times, it feels less like constitutional jurisprudence and more like “Judges Gone Wild.”
I’m thankful that this is June and the White House is emphasizing priorities that reflect my convictions rather than promoting Pride Month events. As a Christian, I believe our nation is strongest when it honors God, protects religious liberty, and upholds biblical values. God bless President Trump and may God continue to bless America.
@MBurtwrites How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? Romans 10:14
IS THE “NURSERY” AT CHURCH BIBLICAL?
I can't count the number of times I've been preaching a gospel message, and, as I usually do, I'm giving a clear presentation of the gospel, when, almost on cue, a baby begins to cry or yell. When it happens, attention is diverted from the message to the part of the building where the distraction is coming from. Most of the time, a parent slips out, and the distraction is minimized, but sometimes the parents wait it out, hoping it will stop. It rarely stops.
I'm all for families worshipping together, and I would rather have noisy children than no children; however, we have to use common sense. If the Holy Spirit is speaking to someone when that happens, then satan can use it to turn that person's attention elsewhere.
In the book of Nehemiah, the people experience revival in Chapter 8. One sign of real revival is a renewed interest in the word of God. In verse 2, it says, “And Ezra the priest brought the law of Moses before the congregation both of men and women, AND ALL THAT COULD HEAR WITH UNDERSTANDING,… (emphasis mine). The same thing is said in verse 3.
The unsung heroes in our churches are the nursery workers!
I’ve had people tell me that I should be able to preach over a crying baby, and I respond that I can preach with a herd of buffalo coming through, but that doesn't mean you'll hear me. 😁
You're being ridiculous. Who even remotely said a child was a satanic distraction? That's ignorant.
I do beg to differ with you on the sermon. I'm personally not important at all however my message can mean the difference in heaven and hell. But you wouldn't know anything about that.
What time is it? ITS CHURCH TIME!!!
Psalms 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalms 23:6
A normal Texan might have said, Texas BBQ or The Dallas Cowboys, or since he claims to be a theologian he could have said God of the Bible. No, he doesn't say anything remotely like any of that. His answer is “the trans children.” How weird is that!
Texas Democrat U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico loves trans kids.
HOST: "Something that you love that's not family or friends?"
TALARICO: "I love and I'm just saying this because it's on my mind, the trans children."
