Former Engineering Director at Meta (Facebook), Head of Engineering at Mysten Labs, Senior Director at Sony/SOE, Manager at Microsoft, and many others...
@berachain @baloothebera As the actual Head of Engineering of Mysten Labs from inception through its launch and a while after, I can say this person is not me. I would appreciate them not using my title and role, for which there was nobody within the company that came anywhere close to approximating it.
@JohnMuchow@mwebster1971@IBKR Yeah, the last few months have made me want to think about adding modes for “reversal handling” (for trade sizing) as we've had all those short but sharp growth stock pullbacks with nice rebounds. (Excluding the last week+ ;-) )
@JohnMuchow@mwebster1971@IBKR I have used both forms as I try to streamline "what I see" to be closer to an WON-style trading system. (LIFO trade matching and per-trade ROI). Generally I want an interface that is tailored to how I want to invest. It's a work in progress :-)
@JohnMuchow@mwebster1971@IBKR The benefit of the REST API, if TWS isn't needed simultaneously, is that the calling program does not need to embed a library from IBKR; instead, it makes standard REST calls to the REST proxy running somewhere accessible to the calling program.
@JohnMuchow@mwebster1971@IBKR I do a fair amount of programming against the IBKR interfaces. They have a number of options. One of the simpler ones in the REST interface if you don't need to use Trader Workstation directly. Otherwise, stick with the original API that works in tandem with TWS.
@mwebster1971, loved the video Stock Market Update this week! It had a lot more of the flavor of your earlier written ones (more commentary). Nice job! My vote is for more of those :-)
@monsterstocks1 I remember reading that the first several times, before I was doing any significant speculation, and thinking “Oh I won't have trouble with that." Oh how wrong I was! This is the simplest thing to keep in mind and yet I think it tests me every day ;-)
@IBD_JNielsen Hi Justin! Mike mentioned you do a daily write-up for Market School tracking the counts. I'm a MS (online) and Founders Club member Where can I find your write-up? Curious if what felt like stall-like action this week had an impact. Thanks!
@mwebster1971 Do you all publish your Market School count anywhere? We've had a couple of days that felt to me like stalling, and I'm curious how you're looking at them through the lens of Market School.
@Zeninthemarkets, @mwebster1971 - early this morning Scott mentioned he lines up orders ahead of the open when he sees a strong open developing. Do you all commonly use this technique to trim on the way up?
@mwebster1971 How about a little Sammy Hagar and Van Halen with Dreams, “We'll get higher and higher, straight up we’ll climb…” https://t.co/IicVATjrFG :-)
@IBD_Irusha So is it fair to say that just because I see some funds in the fund ownership box with reasonable-sized positions, it would not necessarily meet Bill's "Where's the sponsorship?" question?
@IBD_Irusha, with the newer IBD Mutual Fund Index Ownership callout feature, I've come across stocks where the Mutual Fund Ownership rating is low but still has a few funds in the box. What's the relationship there?
