Thanks. I hate the ESPN app for college sports. Really love the MLB app. Hoping against hope I don’t have to actually deal with ESPN. Thrilled they no longer have Sunday nights since they really only care about NFL.
@GabeLacques appreciated your rundown of the new MLB TV rights deals. One question I had that wasn’t clear: Will MLB dot TV packages still be able to be viewed through the MLB At Bat app, or will you have to stream them through the ESPN app?
@kathyb2027@heraldleader Idk, looks like a completely comparable amount of green space to me. And having driven near there on Grade Lane many times, I definitely remember quite a bit of green space.
@BostonStrong_34 If all you do is follow real reporters & summarize their articles into tweets, then you have no talent, but just a narcissist plagiarist looking for attention and credit for something you deserve nothing. But makes you perfect match for Twitter. Just RT, it’s less about you then
@ColeyMick Almost as crazy as having a fast food draft without @tylermilliken_ . What drove him nuts more, missing this draft or not getting to crap on Rafaela during the 100 OPS+ discussion?
@ChrisCleggMiLB But if you wanted to know every single day about who might draft a CB from Youngstown St in the 6th rd more than 2 months before the draft , they are your network. Not to mention daily updates who might or might not practice during the offseason April through August. 🙄
@jkylemann Over/under on video reviews: 11.5.
The one game I would have accepted Pat Adams officiating was vs Calipari. You could have added 9 pts minimum in UK’s favor.
@kakejatz@EdHand89 All agree it’s not enough. Ed said it’s a league-wide trend, not a surprise. If they are small mkt the there are literally only 5 large mkt teams (NYM, NYY, LAD, PHI, TOR), and even some of them are spending less or can’t get players to take their money. BOS, Cubs, HOU same tier.
@kakejatz@EdHand89 13th in free agent spending this offseason. Not good, but pretty much the same as the majority of the league. So, not really doing it better than everyone else. At least they traded for Crochet. Check out moves by MIA, StL, PIT, SD. That’s doing NOTHING.

@kakejatz@EdHand89 Fine, take SD out. Ed’s point still stands. They have literally spent more than half (16 teams) the league, not “few teams do No 3 (nothing) better.”
@Sean_McAdam Had the Red Sox drafted Trey Yesavage instead of Braden Montgomery and Hurston Waldrep instead of Kyle Teel, could the Red a Sox have still acquired Crochet? Probably, but it would have meant trading Mayer and/or Campbell bc Yesavage and Waldrep have not moved up like Teel and BM
@Sean_McAdam When ranking farms, it’s not about having a complete team of prospects from every position. It’s just the accumulation and sum of talent (even if redundant) that can be used to build a team thru promotions/trades. Crochet perfect example. Hitters less risky, flip for proven SP.
@MatthewHulet@francysromeroFR You can trade for up to 60% more of your bonus pool. $5,146,200 x 1.6 = $8,233,920.00. So, they have $1.7m to sign all other players who sign for over $10k if they traded for the max.

@jaketodonnell In other words, they need to be immediately better than Rafaela, Grissom and Abreu — or else your team and depth is better with them in AAA and further developing and retaining Romy, Hamilton, Sogard and Refsnyder in case of injuries.
@jaketodonnell People don’t consider 40-man implications. They don’t have to be added & unless they show in ST they are definitely worth rostering on MLB team for production & chance at PPI draft pick, do you want to add them and have to release someone else? The $ really isn’t the deterrent.
@tylermilliken_ So, this guy won the Mexican pitching triple crown — which means Trevor Bauer did NOT — and means he was better than Trevor Bauer. And he likely settled for a minor league deal. More evidence Bauer is not worth the headaches. @EdHand89
@EdHand89 If you really think this team needs Randal Grichuk, I can assure you he will be available for practically nothing at any point in the season if RHHs you go into Opening Day with don’t meet expectations or if Refsnyder gets hurt.
@LouMerloni They won’t sign then, or it could cost 3 times as much. By then, they can sniff a FA mega contract and have security of millions in arbitration only 9 months away. Tatis, Julio, Witt proved stars and got $300m. If they signed before debuting, would they have signed for Chourio $?
