How many children will never see their father?
Ross, I don't know if current policies at Binance have changed or not. For historical context, way back, I put in the policy that Binance employees, unless in explicitly public facing roles, should NOT attend public events (as Binance employees), speaking engagements, become advisors of other projects, or have side jobs, etc.
There are a few reasons for this.
1. Security. It increases the attack surface for social engineering hacking, as well as possible physical attacks. There has been two reported kidnaps just in the last month. One in Chicago. One in Toronto.
2. Conflict of interest. There have been many bribery attempts for listings, non-public "advisors", etc. I am always amazed that other exchanges have their "Listing Directors" walking around in crypto conferences. You don't see that from Binance for a reason.
3. Potential data leaks. Everyone has info. CS agents have access to customer data. I have also seen attempts to upgrade user VIP levels, etc.
Hope this make sense. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your time at Binance and Binance was able to help you grow, as it did for me. All the best in the future!
