@NextElonPrince Yooo! Another introvert here! The biggest mental shift for me: people don't give a fuck about what they're not interested in. Thanks to the algorithm, the only ones who see your posts are engagement farmers or people who actually care. So just be yourself 👍
@1notlov3 Thanks for the nice idea! I'll try it with the credits I have left. The other day I literally built a simple relay and used it as a high-consumption news filter and brainstorming chatbot 🤣
Seriously, this app is full of engagement bait: some posts beg to be corrected, others just farm followers with fake content. Maybe I should try it too 🫣🤣
@solopribuilds Try OpenSpec. It won't stop the mess completely, but it keeps each change small and you always know what you're actually building. That alone saves you most of the chaos.
@solopribuilds Copying was never the real threat.
Look at indie games: you can decompile a Unity build straight from the binary and get the actual code.
Clones still rarely beat the original. AI gets you to average fast, but the details and the feel are what people pay for.
Reworking the add-food screen in Chicken!
I think I'm starting to get what product design is about: how do you make the user think "this actually feels good to do"?
“I'm actually afraid of people copying it, but maybe that's a good sign 😭🤣”
I've been wondering what we trade to get what we want.
Inspiration or copying? I can't follow every copyright rule. Even this meme owes something to the artist.
SaaS? You sacrifice people's ownership. One-time payment? You sacrifice jobs.
Sony and gamers right now.
Can you really blame someone for sacrificing everything when they already own nothing?
But when we think we've sacrificed nothing, is that really true? Or have we blindfolded ourselves to reach our own desires?
Well, Claude said I should give building in public a try, so here I am: my first post on this account after a long time building my app silently 🫣.
I’ll share the whole process, so if you want to see someone fail, here I am🤣
