@kendrabenaaron We aren't talking about people with drinking problems. We are talking about people who drink. The amount of people who don't get this is baffling to me. Learn the difference!
@real_dreamr@atlanticesque If you're already drinking, it just creates a dynamic that's weird. You're being vulnerable and comfortable, but they aren't. Sure they don't *have* to drink to be comfortable or vulnerable, but it's pretty uncomfortable to be inherently vulnerable while the other isn't.
@dobrevdesire The idea is that she's smiling at him in spite of him talking about another girl, but your interpretation also makes sense. All in all this was a weird post that's probably just really good engagement bait or the poster just thought it was funny and probably means nothing.
@hurricaneidiot@JP_Polnareff69@AerithsSeat Well, yeah. The fictional scenerio of possession doesn't exist irl, so it being a metaphor for exaggerated "episodes" of mental illnesss would be a logical thing to explore!! This is also why the theory that Bear is drugging her also makes sense to explore!
Instead of commenting on these things, it uses elements of rape, abuse and codependency to make the audience unsettled. And it does so to great effect! Maybe Im not really "literate" enough or maybe I was too uncomfortable in the theater to be able to get something important, idk
I think you can definitely make a great point about how Obsession portrays rape but I feel it's super reductive to say "it's a movie about RAPE, the point is RAPE". As if it's not also about trauma, mental illness, relationship dynamics, and whatever else. Also its a horror movie
Like idk, I didn't take away much from it other than, "Wow bear sucks" and "Wow that was really uncomfortable" which is typical of horror movies. I feel it lacked a lesson other than, "hey maybe be a little more proactive and confrontation and also be a better person"
@GatorRex2@Feldfrog If it was for allergies it probably wouldn't use fish in crab's stead. Fish is usually a "may contain proteins of the shellfish I eat" kinda deal.
@milfsyuri At first I thought the Marvel Rivals movesets were too complex and weird, but now I've kinda come to favor that over OWs very limited movesets. Plus third person just feels so much better. I think overwatch is much more console friendly though
@tomwesleyson@Tomaswept Thats just how some people respond to stressful and exhaustive situations though, I think. It shows how his situation is a result of both his desire and passive/resigned response behavior. I mean he really was NOT proactive in the movie. He was only ever invited or forced to hang
This isn't to say this isn't the case for every country. I just find it odd that we like to boil things down to stuff like this. Regardless, they are right that we are vastly culturally homogenous. Idk. I'm just saying if you know where to look you'll find something!
This is funny cuz there are actually tons of various unique types of communities in the states, they aren't really "tourist" type deals though. It'd be a little weird to visit them to "experience their culture".
Why do Americans get so butthurt about the fact that, outside of natural beauty, America is a pretty uninteresting cultural experience. If youโve seen one American city you basically have experienced all America has to offer.
