The short and skinny is that someone may still be contractually bound to the project. @pulse_tachyon's source says Stargate will be uncanceled and there's mention of a potential move to MGM+.

@bradtravelers Yeah feels really bad when we finally get a show and then Amazon just decides they don't want money. They know it is a profitable IP they've been licensing it out. The new execs decide the new show is too catered to the fans that give it that value and cancel it.

@Konahrik8675309 @zsbasz @Cromwelp You're missing that AI is absolutely not profitable for anyone except Nvidia and no company seems to have a plan to change that. Every AI company is losing money hand over fist right now. We will eventually have the AI that you are thinking of but LLM's ain't it.

@Cromwelp Look at the source though it will come out right around the same time actual self driving is released which is never. There is no way they are making an all AI game right now they won't be able to keep scenes or characters coherent in it. AI is a fucking mess right now.
