England have a shocking defence. Are these the best we have? Absolutely not! Tuchel is a fool. His selection is a joke. None of the defenders are comfortable on the ball going forward or back.
@mufc4thefans Ratcliffe is a knob but he’s not coaching this shower. Carrick started well at Boro then began to ver think it. He thinks we have 10 Xavis playing. He’s stopped playing to our strengths. He’s lost the plot.
I’m Thankful I didn’t take up the option for a hospitality ticket today for silly money. I remember I wouldn’t think twice. I can’t believe what Carrick is coaching these guys. They have no belief. They are playing walking football and don’t step up until we are behind. wtf
Carrick gone before Christmas. He’s list the plot. This keeper is shocking. He does not inspire confidence at all. What Price Spurs and United to be relegated?
wtf has happened to Carrick. We are playing at half the pace of last season. À lack of intensity all over the pitch. He okayed to our strengths last season this season we play walking football.
wtf. Why are we playing so damn slow. We always allow teams to grow in to the game. Shocking mindset. No wonder Hulk Sunderland, & Co are taking us to school
"The goalkeeper is impacted, 100%"
Gary Neville believes Senne Lammens, as well as Lisandro Martinez, were impacted by Enzo Fernandez's position in the build up to Erling Haaland's goal🗣️
Why did he wait so long to bring Sesko on? Carrick should have changed the shape and gone after them as soon as Foden was send off. Gutless decision making. Playing too safe
Carrick as the caretaker had nothing to lose and took risks. Carrick now the manager is playing safe without the risks. We shoukd have played with the good old fashioned big man little man up front today. Forget this play out from the back BS they were down to 10ffs.
Mainoo and Rashford hit post the two best players for us, unlucky… whilst Carrick isn’t adapting to the game needs decision wise m. Just hoping it clicks
The referee display was shocking. He sends a man off and then spends the rest of the game giving City free kicks out of guilt. Uniteds display was gutless! Lack of intensity. We can’t defend and can’t score.
@Utdcen Not suddenly at all. There was always question marks about his keeping. Hec was just a good deal better than the keep he replaced. Still not good enough at this level.
@zubq Very poor substitutions. Goal keeper got beat at his near post. 2nd goal he saw it coming from a long way off. Should have saved 4 of the 6 scored against us. Top keepers would have saved both. Defenders are not great either.
Have to say that keepers like big DDG would have saved at least one of them. We can’t defend and it doesn’t help when you have an average keeper. Pissed off with that result.
@sampilger A bit gutless - worryingly concwding 6 goals in just 3 games and against not very good sides. We only conceded 48 in 42 league games when we were relegated in 74
🚨🎙️ Jamie Carragher on Michael Carrick:
“Michael Carrick has to take responsibility for this because today was simply not good enough. I’m sorry, but you cannot manage Manchester United at this level and make decisions like that. The substitutions were baffling, the team lost its attacking threat, and from the moment he started changing things, you could see the game slipping away.
What worries me most is that Carrick looked completely lost when the match became difficult. A top manager doesn’t just pick a team and hope things work out. You have to read the game, understand where the danger is coming from and have the courage to make the right decision. Carrick failed to do that today.
He took players off who were actually causing problems and left the team without enough creativity going forward. That is basic management. When you’re only leading by one goal, you don’t weaken your own attack and invite the opposition back into the game.
And let’s stop making excuses for him. He has been given the opportunity to manage one of the biggest clubs in the world, and with that comes enormous pressure. You cannot expect praise when things go well and then hide behind the players when your own decisions contribute to the problem.
Today, Carrick was out-thought and out-managed. The players can take criticism, but the manager has to stand up and accept that he got it badly wrong. If Manchester United want to compete for major trophies, Carrick has to improve quickly because performances and decisions like this simply won’t be good enough.”
