@gregauman@dpbrugler I know he has solid coverage stats, but I’m thinking that is more a by-product of stud DE’s/pass rush. He’s a sure tackler, but just don’t think he has the foot speed in space. We shall see.
@JCAllenNFL Daniel Jeremiah just said Tyson has no YAC on tape and the injury history causes concern. Bucs are fine at WR, the defense needs a massive infusion of talent, speed and attitude.
@gregauman what do you believe the reason is for the Bucs not pursuing the Vikings Greenard? Is it his cost ($25M+ per), the trade comp (likely a #1), his skill level? Or all of the above? Just seems like a desperate need a rookie DE can’t fill his first year
@gregauman have you heard any rumblings of a Greenard trade/deal? Might be too rich, but does a 2nd round pick and mid-$20’s contract do it? What’s your opinion of him?
@gregauman I know this is highly improbable, but a
fan can dream…would the GM or Bucs owners ever direct Bowles to hire Schwartz as DC or some consultant role and throw silly money at him to try and get him interested? Prob doesn’t have same philosophy as Bowles, but thinking out the box
@kurt13warner How about the MLB HOF voting? curious to hear people’s thoughts about Bonds and Clemens, definite HOF’rs before their careers were tainted by reports of steroid use later in their careers. Yet, voters have shut them out of the hall and not taken those years out of consideration
@gregauman Well, he has hit on a couple of OC’s, so we just have to hope. Maybe this lights a fire under everyone and they make some significant changes to prep, game planning and gameday execution. Get healthy, some new talent, and see what happens.
@gregauman if the plan is a massive upheaval in staff (new OC, STC, DC?) wouldn’t it be difficult to find quality coaches across the board given Bowles tenuous situation? Paradigm needed to change, a def coach whose defense has not been close to acceptable has to go. Glazers miss
