It would be great if the Mariners only candidate took this one.

Cole earned it.

[Trident True @tridenttruee]

The Mariners will have a manager by the end of the week it seems.

Anyone want to stake a claim to who it might be?

[Trident True @tridenttruee]

I can’t stop watching these karaoke videos they hit every time

[Jomboy Media @JomboyMedia]

Daniel Vogelbach got a shot at redemption and did not miss

[Trident True @tridenttruee]

It would be pure malfeasance to deal Woo imo

[Michael Monreal @ByMMonreal]

The #SFGiants have the system to swing some trades.

They need a lefty and Deitmers could very well be one of the best available.

Bryan Woo is a Bay Area kid and you’re probably buying low.

[Trident True @tridenttruee]

Very happy this is a universal take. The radio broadcast rocks in every way. Pure baseball

[Trident True @tridenttruee]

Could not disagree more with this

I love switching over to the radio like 30-40% of the season honestly.

[Barrett Media @Barrett_Media]

@DavidPSamson says MLB no longer needs radio: "We don't need baseball on radio anymore." The former Marlins president predicts on Nothing Personal that "radio will go the way of Kodak and Blockbuster." @JohnMamola has more. #MLB

Vogey doing karaoke at the parade is perfect

[Trident True @tridenttruee]

I’m not saying he’s a puppet hire but the puppet allegations are flying

[Trident True @tridenttruee]

Feels like we’re headed towards Kantzler as Mariners manager. Not letting him hire his own staff gives you a good indication the FO is taking the wheel

[Trident True @tridenttruee]

@sansaver23 Oh we don’t like tradition anymore?

[Trident True @tridenttruee]

They’re sleeping on a bounce back Julio aren’t they?

Wow, hitting coach gets hired before the manager. Things are looking odd, but progressing.

[Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal]

Mariners, still searching for a manager, add CJ Gillman as hitting coach. With @spencernusbaum_ and @Chandler_Rome, unlocked and free to read. https://t.co/FOU2yFyvtJ

I've been refreshing all day, it feels like its bound to happen...

Even if a hire is completed, can we not wait until Monday?

[Mariner Muse @MarinerMuse]

Are the Mariners going to Friday news dump the most important managerial hire in franchise history?

We took Kyle for granted. Retired at 33 and I’d kill for one more season of Seags

🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨

WE HAVE OUR 100TH MEMBER!

Kyle Seager received 97% of 41,500 votes and is now officially the 100th Hall of Pretty Good inductee.

Seager, who was born on November 3rd, 1987, in California, was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 3rd round of the 2009 MLB Draft after a successful college career at UNC, where he was a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award. Seager would have a quick rise through the minor leagues and make his MLB debut on July 6th, 2011. This would jumpstart one of the most consistent and underrated careers in recent memory.

Seager would be a beacon of durability, only heading to the injured list once in his 11-year career. From 2012-2019, Seager always managed to hit at least 20 home runs in a season, a streak that was only stopped by the limited 60-game season in 2020. Had the season been played in full, he was on pace to reach 24 long balls, keeping pace with his consistent production.

Seager was a one-time All-Star and a one-time Gold Glove Award winner. He also received MVP votes in two different seasons (2014 and 2016). One of the most memorable things about Kyle Seager’s career was his notable final season, which saw him set career highs in home runs (35) and RBIs (101). After that power surge in 2021, he decided to hang up the cleats at the age of 33.

Kyle Seager is regarded as one of the best players in Mariners history, having been included on the team’s list of 50 best players to celebrate the Mariners’ 50th anniversary. At the time of his induction, Seager ranks 4th in games played in franchise history, 4th in hits, 4th in home runs, 3rd in doubles, and 4th in RBIs.

Seager grew up a Yankees fan and loved Derek Jeter. While Jeter received 97.75% of the Hall of Fame votes a few years ago, getting 97% of over 40,000 fan votes to become the 100th HoPG inductee sounds pretty good to me.

Congratulations to Mariners legend Kyle Seager!
