We underexpose our youth, then blame them for lacking vision. We discard experience the moment it leaves government, then import “experts” to tell us what we already know. We’ve built a leader centric culture so deep that citizens don’t act they wait for the leader, for God, for foreigners.
That’s not patriotism. That’s dependency dressed as loyalty.
Meanwhile, countries like Rwanda are deliberately training young minds to negotiate, compete, and govern while we recycle slogans and sideline competence.
Here’s the uncomfortable truth ,no nation rises when its people don’t believe they are the authors of its future. Until Zimbabwe becomes citizen driven not personality driven we’ll keep exporting talent, importing solutions, and calling it progress.
