R2 Million Per Player!
Bafana Bafana players will each receive R2 million as a bonus just for playing in the three group stage matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
SAFA agreed to give the 26 players and technical team 30% of the prize money from Fifa (at least R150 million for the group stage), after a smooth meeting with the playersβ committee in Mexico as per Sunday World.
The players also get a daily allowance of about R1, 657 during the tournament.
The likes of Kaizer Chiefs, Siwelele FC, Polokwane City etc will receive R2.4 million from FIFAβs Club Benefits Programme for the group-stage period.
Mamelodi Sundowns (8 players) & Orlando Pirates (8 players) will each get around R19.2 million.
Sundowns also have Ricardo Goss & Thapelo Maseko in the squad.
The African champions will not get the full group-stage payments for Maseko and Goss.
Those will go primarily to their current loan clubs.
Sundowns only benefits from players they currently have registered.
βPlayers that scored those two goals, they were laughing inside the field as if they have done something good, killing their stay in the elite league."
Orlando Pirates legend Jerry Sikhosana has opened up about why he is βnot okayβ with his former clubβs league success, despite them breaking a 14-year title drought. https://t.co/TlhWBZii5Q
Kaizer Chiefs supporters, thereβs no need for concern. βπΌ
Da Cruz has already put pen to paper on a two-year deal plus option to extend.
The deal is done and the contract has been delivered.
The official unveiling now rests with the club but the announcement is expected to follow this week.
A big week ahead for the Amakhosi faithful.
