Sad to hear the passing of John Jameson (Warwickshire CC). Fond memories of carrying him out to his wife’s car the night before his record 240 the following day in 1974. He liked a bit of the amber nectar. RIP John 🙁

Sad news has reached as today that former Smethwick, Warwickshire and England batsman, John Jameson, has died earlier this morning at the age of 84 at his home in Solihull.
