Maybe it’s not always a particularly shocking plot, especially not anymore, but the techniques he uses to tell the story are pretty easy to spot and are foundational to a lot of what came after. It’s just great for teaching

@jui_cyapple That doesn’t inherently mean it’s filler though. TADC COULD’VE done all of this in 9 episodes. It’s just paced horribly. That being said, I’d much rather there be filler if it means the characters actually all get some good development, which didn’t happen here 😭

There’s definitely more stuff they could’ve done in between the time we last see jax and then we see him abstracted. I feel it ends up not being as shocking because there’s not a lot of time to create that tension
