Alex Rodriguez nails the Yankees’ issues year after year:
“It’s unthinkable, in a game where your season is on the line, and of the 9 positions, you don’t know who is going to play 5 positions.”
3B, 1B, 2B, CF, C all up for grabs and have been all year. You cannot win a championship with your lineup being that volatile from game to game.
17 years without a ring. George Steinbrenner would have fired the manager, the GM, the strength coach, and the guy who operates the stadium elevator by now
I love baseball so much. I love the New York Yankees so much. But they are a broken franchise right now. They are hinging on the ghosts of their past to carry an identity for them. They’re so far removed from the greatness we once knew. Our fanbase deserves better. Our star players deserve better.
Probably the least sad I’ve felt about them being eliminated. Really unfortunate to waste the pitching staff but it’s the same song and dance with them in October
Part of my issue with the Dodgers is that they act like they're some scrappy team who just keeps fighting, not a bunch of highly paid free agents who run from the grind to go chase a ring. You can't have it both ways
I caught my first foul ball at 31 years old and a parent sent their kid back 10 rows to ask me for it. I straight up said no I’ve been waiting for this my whole life.
3 hits… yankees are a joke.. from 2018 til now the YankEEEEEs have been a joke of a team on defense.. undisciplined mess this shits embarrassing… yankees pigeon holed themselves into a lane with their all lefty line up sick of this shit
The Dodgers literally told everybody after the 2024 World Series that the Yankees crumble when you put pressure on their defense and it’s still true 2 years later.
