This is very simple. People hate the thunder bc they foul on one end and Shai flops on the other. It feels unfair. When both teams get to foul and Shai isn’t rewarded, it now feels fair.
OKC can foul as long as the Spurs can. We accept that.
Fully believe that every kid ranked outside the top 30 should go to a really good mid-major and hoop right away. Not worth chasing a logo to set your career back.

Colin on LeBron vs. KD comparisons:
“LeBron is not only better, but the gap is much bigger than people realize… KD is like buying a boat. The first day you have it and the first day you sell it are the two happiest days.” 🤣🤣🤣

Steven Adams sharing the technique he uses for helping with self-doubt…
“I write down how I feel… the raw emotions. I stop, re-read it and respond in a different colour. The one with the raw emotion I imagine as a 10 year-old Steven. My response is an adult Steven… it’s like I’m giving advice to a younger Steven”
god damn this is so beautiful. i might frame this and put it on the wall in my house. better yet, this should be preserved in a museum. The Lourve, perhaps, or even the Smithsonian.
a picture really does say 1000 words

To address all the messages and comments:
If you're a pre-teen and only good because of advanced physical traits (height or body type, or hops) that often hinders long-term ball development. That's obvious.
If you're good and it's not because of great genetics, there's still a lot of mental traps you need to hurdle, including falling out of love with the grind, vultures coming around and taking you off track, and, honestly, it's easier to chase someone down than it is to be the one being chased.
Now, don't get me wrong, better to be great young than never great! But, this hoop thing is a marathon and, ultimately, the only thing that matters is who is on top going into college, going into the league, and every year in the league. The rest is just stories to tell your kids and grandkids.
Anyway, love reading all your takes, whether they agree or disagree with me. Appreciate these convos!
Saniya Rivers told me during today’s practice that Charlisse Leger-Walker has been leading early on during training camp.
“She's a point guard, but she's a rookie, but she's coming in and leading, telling vets where to go, and that's what we want from her.”
