Wrapping up an impactful week in D.C. for #CapToCap! Proud to represent Colfax on the Wildfire Team—advocating for rural resilience, forest health & wildfire policy. Grateful to also connect with my fellow PG&E folks for our now-tradition group photo!

Midjourney developers caught discussing laundering, and creating a database of Artists (who have been dehumanized to styles) to train Midjourney off of. This has been submitted into evidence for the lawsuit. Prompt engineers, your “skills” are not yours

@Fyre_flye Cartoony! There isn’t enough friendly content for TV night as a family. Kid cosmic, Avatar The Last Air Bender, Owl House, The Dragon Prince, and My Hero Academia all have the kind of stories we can get sucked into… but I have a hard time getting started if it’s not cartoony.
This is an absolute game changer for so many kids like me who didn’t have a stable foundation to make school a possibility. It’s not often a new bill provokes tears from me, but here we are! 🥹
🚨 COLLEGE IS NOW FREE FOR FOSTER YOUTH ACROSS CA! California’s Senate Bill 307 signed into budget by Governor Gavin Newsom yesterday makes college debt free for foster youth. I got a text from the author of the bill State Senator Angelique Ashby yesterday letting me know that our bill had been signed into effect and that college is now free for all foster youth across California who want to pursue a higher education.
I spoke with @cbs8 about the historic passage and how it will be a game changer for foster youth across CA. I was glad to be one of the leaders pushing for this bill’s passage in the Assembly, Senate and to be signed by the Governor. This is a major step forward in addressing college debt among a population that has already struggled attending college. Only 10% of foster youth attend college and only 2% actually graduate.
Paying for lodging and college itself has been a major burden and hopefully this will ease that burden and inspire more foster youth to now pursue a higher education at our UC’s and community colleges.
We are not done fighting for our foster youth. There’s much more work to do. This is a great step.

@Patterdude And at that they are sure using the term “anonymous” in a negligent manner. They know very well they included all the information needed to identify people individually.
.@UPS knows what we want, what we demand, what our members have earned. The Teamsters must take a stand right now!
All the money UPS blows on Wall Street with record stock buybacks and dividend payouts — give that money to your workforce.
Happy International Women in Engineering Day!
I’m lucky to work with some of the most intelligent and talented women in STEM. I couldn’t be more proud of the work we do and the positive impact it brings our communities. #InternationalWomenInEngineeringDay
