#WEEK17@B329Leadership This week taught me all about the importance of leadership for social change and the processes SCOs take. Combined with difference that good storytelling can make to convey messages. I learnt how to use these skills to reframe a discourse.
#WK15@B329Leadership I learnt about the different types of leadership and resistance that takes place within an organisation. I think this will help me better understand the dynamic between leaders and resistance and therefore help me to be a better leader in the long run.
@B329Leadership#WK14 I've studied place based leadership and how to tackle leadership challenges: identify, prioritise and categorise .
In the future, I am going to be more aware of the challenges I face, so I know what approach is required e.g., wicked, tame or critical.
#WK18@B329Leadership Reflection upon the leadership challenge. I found this to be a great experience, not easy at times though with working with so many people. I was fortunate to have an engaging team and really got to value teamwork and the benefit of shared knowledge.
#WEEK12@B329Leadership I haven't previously studied game theory so the concepts were quite hard for me to wrap my head round. I have found it very interesting to learn about the game perspective of leadership and evaluate which game style different leadership approaches take.
#WEEK11@B329Leadership I am still at a point where I am starting out in my career and studying conflict has given me really helpful coping techniques to handle conflict. Having been through conflict in the past, it has been very helpful to reflect on past experiences.
#WEEK10@B329Leadership I have been learning about the influence that a networked society and technology have upon leadership. This week has taught me more about the follow/leader dynamic and caused me to look at organisations around me and understand this dynamic better.
#week9@B329Leadership What I found most important was Goman's steps on how to support collaborative leadership. I've not only learnt more about how to be a collaborative leader, but also how to be a collaborative individual and get the most/best out of people and situations.
#week8@B329Leadership I've found this weeks work very interesting as diversity and inclusion is a field that I am very much interested in and about to start a job in. It's interesting to hear about the different approaches to inclusive leadership and has provided me guidance.
#week7@B329Leadership This week I learnt about the different types of identity in relationship to leadership and why it is essential to have an awareness of your own identity. This has highlighted areas where I can change to be a more effective leader.
@B329Leadership#wk5 has inspired me to make changes in my professional life in terms of the effectiveness of my communications e.g. mass emails and how to get the best response out of people. It also taught me the power of powerful imagery linking to leadership.
@B329Leadership#wk5 has taught me many things but primarily, how to conduct an effective interview. I hadn't previously interviewed someone properly and week 5 showed me the right questions to ask and whilst linking it to the 5-step process for critical thinking.
#wk4@B329Leadership Week 4 taught me about culture, multiculturalism and its relation to leadership. I currently don't have a strong global leadership mindset and this is something I should develop to become more aware and inclusive in both my personal and professional life.
#wk3@B329Leadership Week 3 has taught me about populism and the impact it has on society. Through learning about the pitfalls of populism, I think this has made my understanding of politics and business much more realistic and therefore should mitigate future disappointment.
#wk2@B329Leadership week 2 has been quite hard hitting for me to realise the privilege I have of not having a precarious life or work. It has made me understand the strength and power of leadership during precarity. Leadership is what drives change and gives hope.
I've learned in #wk1@B329Leadership that #turbulence could affect anyone in the workplace and can impact upon #leadership. This week has taught me the importance of understanding the different types of leadership in order to best understand leadership strategies.
