I know these actions are left to the extremists, but seeing how differently it's being handled from the many peaceful protests this past summer is a continued testament to the overt and covert, and institutionalized racism that still exists in America. This here is the proof.
@chrislhayes@MEPFuller@ryanjreilly This summer:
*Peaceful protestors*
Cops: tear gas. Barricades. Rubber bullets.
Conservatives: Law and order! Blue lives matter!!
Today
*Armed protestors breaking into the Capitol building carrying weapons even though open carry is illegal in DC*

@Snow_White765 Do you understand what a racial slur is? Do you know that people find it offensive because others have used it against them to justify systemic racism? You thinking it’s okay shows how you have benefited from white privilege. You *can* say it, but it’s not right
@Snow_White765 Yikes! Looks like your racism is showing 😬That word represents centuries of slavery and oppression, so it’s only their word to own if they wish. Your use of it shows you’re stuck in those times and still believe in white supremacy. Not setting a great example for your kids
@DanielStevens12@g_colbs98 Hey “Danny Boy”! Looks like you’re invalidating someone’s experiences. It may be better for you to stay in your own lane since you know nothing about her or her life! 🤣
Reminder to myself and anyone who needs it:
surrender the thing that preoccupies you most, and that thing will fall into your lap. You need not be anxious about anything, each moment is not the end-all :)
Thank you @matthew_atlas for spending 53 hours with me this year on @Spotify and for bringing me peaceful moments in a hectic semester. You are my #1. #2018Wrapped https://t.co/KMNl0U6Dr5
