6. When you choose not to act like nothing happened because, bhie, wala pa ring apology, they start playing the victim to even more people.
Now, what should you do about it?
Wala naman. Just live a happy life and watch them lie to themselves every day.
🤷🏻♀️
4. When you choose to walk away, they start scrambling and telling everyone else (even those who know nothing about what happened) that you are a liar and/or making up stories.
5. They start acting like there’s no problem, minsan extra sweet pa. Kasi nga, it’s all in your head.
3. When presented with solid evidence and/or after magically drawing a confession, they don’t apologize. Instead, they try to blame someone else for what happened by playing the victim or pointing out that you, somehow, deserved it.
What gaslighting can look IRL
(because people don’t seem to know what it really means) based on experience:
1. They do something bad to you.
2. When confronted, they deny that it ever happened.
I'm tired
I'm tired of trying to be strong all the time
Tired of the struggle
Tired of the telling myself it will be okay
Tired of paying bills
Tired of people who lie
Tired of hiding feelings of frustration
Tired of being overwhelmed by an old song
I'm tired of apologizing and hearing silence in return ... most apologies carry at least a small percentage of hearing ... "I'm sorry too..." , no one bears full blame for anything...
