Such an important point.

If things don’t compute, don’t make a judgement about your « smartness », you just lack primitives.

So, identify the primitives, focus on them and things will make sense.

[المعتصم @triplemcoderr]

yeah, im sure it will be available on the @sysconf_ youtube channel in the next couple of days

[المعتصم @triplemcoderr]

one takeaway from this talk: high CPU is a symptom, not an answer. performance engineering is about going beyond the metrics and understanding what the system is actually doing underneath. thanks @sysconf for the opportunity to share. 🙏🏾

We’re excited to announce Muutassim Mukhtar (@triplemcoderr), Senior Site Reliability Engineer at MTN (@MTNNG), as a speaker at SysConf 2026!

His talk is titled “Performance Engineering Beyond Dashboards.”

As part of Muutassim’s work at MTN, he has to find, understand and fix reliability and performance bugs in production Kubernetes workloads. And in multiple cases, he’s found metrics and dashboards insufficient. This talk is about how an SRE has used eBPF to profile production workloads, uncovering CPU hotspots, scheduling delays and network bottlenecks.

@Poraayy hamid dey para😂

[المعتصم @triplemcoderr]

this community somewhere in it. now I get to speak at @sysconf_ . full circle

[المعتصم @triplemcoderr]

@sysdsgn is one of those communities i will always recommend. i have been around since the @sdsaprogram classes, wolvestation days. i remember doing db Internals. even the old yt videos and podcasts still have gems. a lot of my engineering journey has

[Nillionaire.ts 🇳🇬 @igboonaija3]

Kudos @_alternatewolf

two days? i have been in preseason form waiting for this champ. chef, clock in

[GSWL @WarriorsLatam_]

En dos días volvemos.

[المعتصم @triplemcoderr]

@warehouseFranz its tomorrow bro. see you there🚀

[المعتصم @triplemcoderr]

the folks behind SysConf alone tell you this is going to be good. solid community all round.

for my session, we are going under the hood. you wrote a function and called it, cool. but what actually happens after that? how does that function become work on the CPU? what happens

On Day 2 of SysConf, we're hosting our annual technical leadership panel where we bring experienced engineering leaders to share their wisdom and answer questions. The goal of these sessions is to help engineers learn from people who have built strong engineering careers and have led teams and projects over a sustained period to drive impact.

This year our panel includes Adora Nwodo (@adoranwodo), Emmanuel Obidiegwu, and Emmanuel Igbodudu (@yorexx).

The technical leadership panel will be hosted on Sat, Oct 3rd, 2026, at 2pm WAT by Ayomide Oyekanmi (@_alternatewolf). See you there!

[SportsStatsFan @SportsStatsFan]

This some goat shit. Jordan double the next player for longest steak of not losing 3 in a row.

[المعتصم @triplemcoderr]

@lanreadelowo if dallas moves Kyrie, it could remove an experienced star/ball handler from around cooper flag and that will create more roster instability while cooper is developing

[المعتصم @triplemcoderr]

@lanreadelowo every week there is a new plot twist around this kid 😭
