officially ending my watch of grey's anatomy two episodes into the twelfth season because in the past hour they've used somber acoustic covers of fancy, all about that bass, and shake it off
just saw a comment on a tiktok edit of the 2007 film enchanted that said "he was engaged btw" and i am so unbelievably tired of 17 y/os on the internet demanding the censorship of any complex human emotions and relationships in the name of being morally superior

@foidpsyop be liked is a detriment to allowing humans to be flawed and navigate hard situations. i only referenced depicting cheating bc you mentioned cheating
@foidpsyop he didn't cheat though, he fell in love with someone else when in a relationship unintentionally and eventually broke it off w his partner to be w someone else. to act like something very human and realistic like that, even if painful, makes someone a bad person who can't
@SquashFold tweeted this at 1am and did not expect it to get 8k likes and thus need further context but this is a comment coming after years of discourse like "adults writing tv where teens have sex makes them pedophiles" like the whole way this gen of kids consumes media is unhealthy
@foidpsyop 1. he doesnt but also 2. we have got to get past this idea of "we can't show anything bad or wrong that people do in media and everything has to be clean cut and acceptable" like just bc something is questionable doesn't mean it doesn't happen and isn't a real story
@ripsatorugojo THIS IS WHAT I'M SAYINGGGG like the answer is not "depictment = endorsement" but it's "humans are flawed and sometimes people wrong each other even with the best of intentions to find the right path"
@SquashFold i just think if people can't handle flawed humans who sometimes are in sticky situations and can hurt each other in a disney movie without acting high and mighty about it to people who are able to consume entertainment with some level of nuance we're cooked
@SquashFold giving the same energy as "hope this helps!" like no it doesn't help bc no one asked and characters can have flaws without policing it in capcut edit comments lmao
@targraven i was ab to bitch about how people were trying to cancel the notebook too and then realized the common denominator is james marsden keeps getting two timed
