The CDC should spend a day working while socially distancing in a classroom without air conditioning. The other “students” can be DeVos , DeSantis, McConnel to name a few. Then they can make recommendations that make sense. @CDCgov
I say take erasers away, so students cross out their mistakes, make corrections and see where they have learned. Too bad we can’t do that on computers.
4 ways teachers can prepare students for the world:
1. Let students experience failure so they can learn how to overcome it
2. Give them freedom to make their own choices
3. Tell them what they're good at
4. Teach them to cultivate a sense of humor
So very true. As a mother of a child who learned to read at 3, but couldn’t ride a bike or tie his shoes until he was 9, I have experienced that first hand.
Gmorning
You’re up
Yes you’ve got obligations
And debts
And yesterday’s work that needs doing
But don’t forget yourself
We need you, safe and whole, more than any of the things you need to do
Those’ll keep
We need you.
I just told our six-year old about interlibrary loan.
Daughter: They’ll get you ANY book? Even if it’s ten miles away?
Dad: Even if it’s a thousand miles away!
Daughter: Librarians must be magic.
Dad: They have to be. They work with books.
As we start the new school year, remember every kid who enters your classroom needs the answer to these questions more than any question on a quiz or test. https://t.co/bZX6mZX8i1
