Currently, numerous law enforcement and other emergency personnel are on the scene in Brenham, Texas after an 18-wheeler truck, carrying heavy loads of some type of heavy equipment, intentionally rammed into the Department of Public Safety office, injuring at least 16 people, with numerous individuals in severe to critical condition. The Washington County Sheriff's Office stated that a male suspect stole the 18-wheeler truck and intentionally targeted the DPS Office after they denied his CDL license on Thursday. The driver has been taken into custody. Officials are urging everyone to avoid the area as they investigate the incident, as this is still a developing situation

DO YOU EAT EGGS? THEY NEED TO BE FULLY COOKED right now.* That means:
NO runny eggs (scrambled or fried)
NO raw eggs in your beer, and
NO unpasteurized raw COW or GOAT MILK

Why? The avian flu, H5N1, has recently mutated to the point that it is now spreading in CHICKENS, GOATS, AND COWS in the United States.

Right now, humans can catch it from direct contact with these animals and consuming their uncooked byproducts. It is not yet transmissible human to human, but this virus is smart (good at mutating), so we can't be too careful right now.

Why? Because the more times people get Avian Flu from animals or raw animal products, the more opportunities the H5N1 virus will have to mutate into a form which *is* transmissible human to human. That would be super bad, because...

* H5N1 currently has a human mortality rate of about 50%.

Currently, urgent mandatory evacuations are underway as emergency sirens blare for residents across the panhandle in Texas, as well as surrounding areas. Multiple departments are on the scene battling four significant and dangerous wildfires, with 65 mph winds making containment extremely difficult. The fire is spreading rapidly, causing heavy flames and thick smoke visible for miles All roads have been blocked. Police and emergency officials are urging everyone to leave as this is a life-threatening situation.
