Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.
Auschwitz took time.
It’s bizarre West Midlands Chief Constable Craig Guilford is allowed to retire on a full pension rather being fired over his handling of the Maccabi ban.
This is his shocking record;
A) Mislead the Commons twice.
B) Apologised to the Commons twice.
C) Never revealed local Muslims were planning a violent ambush.
D) Put forward as evidence to MPs reports he had found online of a violent game between West Ham v Maccabi. That game never existed.
E) Said Dutch police had reported Maccabi bring violent in Amsterdam . Dutch police denied that was true.
F) Suggested the ban despite never speaking to local Jewish groups.
G) However, did ask Muslims from one controversial mosque in the area what they thought about the game processing.
Apart from that a decent piece of police work from a man who has been in the force for 32 years.
Makes you wonder what other decisions he had made in his time that won’t emerge too well if given the kind of scrutiny this scandal received.
@SkyNews 2 of your presenters have just called the terror attack today happening in a mosque. In this tragedy, the basics are quite important. Please do better
1. What are the borders of this Palestinian state?
2. What is the capital city?
3. What is its constitution or polity?
4. Who forms the government?
5. Who is its leader?
6. How ‘sovereign’ will it be?
7. How will this help ordinary Palestinians?
8. What about Israel's hostages?

I’m going to say the most undiplomatic thing I’ve tweeted: fuck every single person booing Eden Golan at Eurovision. Go to hell and don’t switch the lights off on your way out.
