I’m with you BUT property taxes have zero to do with how much you owe- or not- on your property. They’re a service tax for your local police, fire, roads, garbage, sewer, road lighting… list goes on. Those kinda need to be paid for. Where it’s all wrong is that it’s based on your house value. Does the family in the $500,000 house get twice as many services as the family in the $250,000 house? Nope- so why do they pay double for the SAME services? I don’t have an issue getting rid of property taxes all together but that same (services) money will then have to come from a local sales tax which is actually more fair to all involved.

Ok- so there's a post saying it's clearing up in Toronto which means it should be clearing up soon in Buffalo... maybe. So if you're looking for something to do other than stay inside, you can just get in your car, turn the a/c on since it's filtered, drive to Buffalo and I'll take you to dinner. Then you have a nice leisurely trip back and by the time you get home it may have cleared up there too. See how easy life can be, lol.
