Forcing iOS 26 instead of releasing the iOS iOS 28.7.3 for all users is not great @apple. Maybe next time make an iOS version that people want to upgrade to.
@HaraldDoornbos Tekst die je leest neem je toch ook niet direct voor waar aan? Alleen dat gaat straks ook voor beeld op. Zien is geloven is er niet meer bij..
It would be really nice for large refactors if Agents would have cut & paste actions. Right now it feels like they are essentially typing every over to another file, making mistakes along the way. Very noticeable with string identifiers.
Wow not bundling the metal toolchain with Xcode 26 might save some download time and space, but is surely very annoying to have to execute another command to get a workspace up and running. Even Xcode cloud cannot get this right, as building shaders there does not work anymore.
I let Claude rewrite my clangd-query tool from Typescript to Go. A single compiled binary is just so much easier to use and distribute. Never programmed anything in Go, but so easy to start using a new language with Claude :)
The failure of Europe isn't the current expensive divorce deal with the US.
The failure is not being able to create multiple massive companies in over a quarter of a century.
We missed most of the tech wave. Why?
Because with the Internet as distribution channel every advantage / disadvantage compounds.
Our largest competitors are unified blocks that have scale to compound. Larger pools of investors, larger pools of customers, larger VC funds. Scale matters for startups and hence tech-innovation.
In this game a separated Europe isn't a Player, it's a playground.
This isn't a German, Slovenian, Polish, etc problem. This is a European problem and needs European solutions.
We can pretend as long as we want and ignore the problem. We can keep some status quo companies and processes alive for another 10-20 years by closing our eyes. But it will ultimately come to the same decision – just with worse options.
Europe's startup need European scale to win.
We either 1) federalizes, 2) become really good with creating pan-European solutions (like https://t.co/S047SoqsVU), 3) complete isolates (China meets Tarifs), or 4) see Europe infight, fragment, and fade away.
I hope for one of the first two.
The EU has a once-in-a-generation chance to deliver on a bold new measure with the potential to vastly improve life for scores of startup founders, operators and investors.
But Europe risks Europe-ing itself out of the opportunity.
