Therefore, we must reject the final conclusions of the Conference. Measures to centralise will create an #EU that serves the interests of larger European powers & repress the national interests of smaller MSs that want to make their voices heard.

However, hidden behind the nicely phrased disguise of grassroots and democratic slogans, Conference was nothing more than a Trojan horse for centralisation and a European superstate seeking to standardise Member States. Neither grassroots nor democratic.

The Conference on the Future of Europe closes today.

We decided to join #CoFoE in goodwill, hoping that our voices would be heard and that European integration could get back on the right path.

The adoption of the proposal for a #transnational list would be a step towards centralisation of which the losers would be the small and medium-sized Member States. Therefore, it cannot be supported by us, emphasised @trocsanyi. #EPlenary
