But in my country, Norway, the roads are wider - and the size of the cars isn’t much of an issue. And Norwegian buys a lot of larger cars - like the American Teslas. But gas prices in Norway are insane, fuel economy is a must

To be able to drive larger cars, most of Europe would have to be rebuilt totally, consider rebuilding Athens - 3000+ years! So for US car makers, make models that are smaller and electric with long range batteries - and you will sell cars in Europe.

Even European cars are taxed high in Europe, not just US. If car makers in US made smaller cars like Ford - they will get a boost in sales. With streets in some towns that are 8-9feet wide - a car that is 6-7 feet wide can’t be used

same with larger cars from Europe like Mercs - they will get stucked. That is the reason short and narrow cars are popular in many places in Europe. Ford Motor Company saw this 80 years ago, and designed and built cars for these European real narrow roads (for horses)

POTUS aren’t satisfied wih Europe not buying US cars. Fair enough. But the real reason aren’t taxes or tariffs. But a majority of European roads(not the highways) in smaller towns aren’t built for cars at all - they are built for horses. And large US cars won’t be able to drive
