@JasonGregor Stop trying to position it as a bad move by the Canucks. Just look around at similar moves like Marchment and the cost, it’s in-line with market value. Also, he comes in out of shape, can be slow at times, and not as tough as you think. I did like him though.
@Millerthegoat9 Need a legit 2C and can move a Lankinen or Hronek out for the cap save to replace with someone like Rossi or Barzal. They have enough depth at d and goaltending to do it
@BrandonKodallas Couldn't agree more...his footspeed is already slow, he can product and I love Brock. But giving him anything longer than 4-5 years is crazy. Anyone can product with Mcdavid/Draisaitl though
@ChesterM222 Stfu you’re just taking all the rumours and putting them into one…buff asking for 1st, Willander or DPetey and a bottom 6 guy. Then Drance rumour of us being on a bunch of No trade lists so might only target BC guys. It’s not your gut.
@ritchbeau@frank_seravalli Not to mention...a 25 year old, 6'4 200 right-shot dman averaging about 50 points a season just going into his prime. Yeah...they got fleeced hahhaha chances of getting one of those with their two picks they got are slim and Emil is not that.
@ritchbeau@frank_seravalli you're an idiot if you actually think that. HAHAAH Dobson at same money as Nurse hahhaha its incredible. Such a great move by the habs
@sekeresandprice@Hockey_Robinson@mattsekeres@justBlakePrice And? Brock wants 8 year and $8m sorry he’s not worth that. As of now Evander costs a 4th in a shallow draft and can recoup it at deadline or if good resign probably less than half of Brock. Why?
@jasonamckinnon I agree, well, almost replacing Boeser and could say at 5m compared to 8m for Brock that yes he could bring more value actually. More moves to come, wouldn't pay attention to the $7m cap space, feel like more moves coming (Chytil, Demko, 1st, etc.)
@jasonamckinnon Its no real risk other than the cap hit now. Worst case hes injured and on IR, or can flip him at the deadline and recoup at least that 4th rounder. I hope he plays well, still need to move Chytil and I can see Demko too, lots of cap there. Interesting with Silovs now...
@PierreVLeBrun Would you say its a risk free move Pierre? Other than the big personality in a fragile room, that 4th is nothing in a shallow draft and they can recoup at least that at the deadline one would think....if they chose to.
@mstrbstrdd@PierreVLeBrun why? a 4th rounder is nothing in a crappy draft class and they can recoup at least that at the deadline if they want. If injured, he goes on IR and they get the cap relief. Its keeping the personality in check that is concerning even if only 1 season.
@CodySevertson risk free really...guarantee they can recoup at least that 4th at the deadline next season with his expiring contract...if they want. If injured, hes on IR, get the cap back as well. Risk free move if they can keep the personality in check.
@frank_seravalli I mean I guess he is a legit top 6 power forward on an expiring contract next season. 4th rounder is nothing really in a shallow draft. Can always recoup that at the deadline at a minimum one would think...if they want to. Personality though.....yikes
