@DivinityTao@samdoesarts@MKBHD AI art does feel like junk food because it's not that great at capturing complex scenes or multiple characters in the artwork. I had tried out Novel for a month when it was popular at launch because they focus on anime art, but it still feels lacking if someone wanted custom art.
@DivinityTao@samdoesarts@MKBHD but client needs can change during design, so AI art won't be able to keep up.
Also if LAION, Common Crawl & other data sites would have filtered out copyrighted content from the beginning, then we wouldn't have had this issue of artist works being included in the final dataset.
@samdoesarts@MKBHD I feel like artists will survive. Even Marques mentioned it in the video. Some artists feel like there's a "photobashing" aspect, or slapping a bunch of art images for a specific art style, but so far I don't see any evidence of that when reading about how machine learning works.
Fellow artists, I know the current exploitative AI media is grim and an egregious issue but there are so many wonderful people working hard to ensure that what we’re currently experiencing isn’t the norm. So please, stay hopeful, stay informed and stay painting! We got this 💖
NEW VIDEO - You may have seen a bunch of AI art on your timeline over the past few weeks. It's time for a little chat about AI basically just speedrunning inspiration

@FathimaChocpie hehe, I preferred Soultorque this year.
I also adore Nara and Nibbana, but I had to give a vote to Sound & Silence because it's more energetic and some Monstercat Discord members also prefer that release.
@schofeld@DigiEconomist yeah, so as long as climate action groups can work with tech & reduce the environmental impact, I'm all for this innovation.
I've been studying Azure & AWS. It's nice to know that Microsoft & Amazon are giving the scaling options so that businesses can plan out their cloud needs.
@HukAleksandra in tech stocks, sure. But not crypto.
There might be some resurgence in traditional markets after this recession is over and when market inflation gets controlled effectively.
@Bitfinexed Although I have a Coinbase account for curiosity, it looks like the max amount people could buy from them is less than $2, and that's even less to cover transfer gas fees.
Yeah, things aren't looking so great for Coinbase,
I even asked the support team and they aren't sure why.

@aeforiadesign@Haywyremusic@Iam_Yul@robotzurg yep, that's the experiment that you decided to test.
Sure, some scammers might make fake drops, or link existing art then mint a fresh NFT to pretend it's their art shows the drawbacks.
But I'm open minded to see what creators can do with decentralized storage & smart contracts.
@Haywyremusic@Iam_Yul@robotzurg@aeforiadesign for curiosity, read this article.
It might be in negative in nature, but it at least gives a rough idea of what NFTs can be useful for.
If someone wants to buy NFTs during the paid drop, it's all good. I'm not going to tell people what to do with their ETH

@Haywyremusic@Iam_Yul@robotzurg@aeforiadesign so it's a free drop until Nov 30th then the next phase will be a paid drop?
If music is still available on Spotify, it's all good.
I do get that NFTs don't often contain the art or music, but there shouldn't be this blind hate on people that want to experiment with this open tech
