The older I get the more I realize:
• Silence is a response
• Being unbothered is a skill
• No is a full sentence
• Most "urgent" things can wait
• Respect > Attention
• Apologies are empty without change
• Movement is medicine
• You're not for everyone, and that's fine
Looking for attention from someone who is only looking for money is entirely different. You cannot buy genuine affection from a heart focused on a paycheck.
All the delays, the closed doors, and the waiting season, God is arranging everything in your favor. Trust the process. What looks like a setback right now is actually setting you up for something much better. Keep going. Your breakthrough is closer than it feels.
Pain has a face. The person you hurt is not just a number or statistics. It is a person who has to live through the brunt and take meaningful time to heal from the after effect and trauma.
Men are generally not the type to stay in a relationship with a "no sex until marriage" boundary. If that's a dealbreaker for you, walk away instead of trying to pressure, persuade, or beg your partner to change their mind.
Nobody prepares you for the fact that you will go through some of the most heart shattering experiences of your life and are still expected to show up for work. Take care of yourself. Pay your bills. Meet your goals. Just carry on… It's awful.
Not valued - step back
Betrayed - forgive, then move on
Insulted - outwork them
Disrespected - walk away
Taken for granted - remove access
Your worth isn't negotiable.
Make people earn your presence.
9-to-5 is still the easiest path to financial stability. If you like, keep arguing with people online.
Go to school. Get a good grade. Get a good job. This path is still clear.
