Josh Hart on Mikal Bridges: "I know he's not worried about it. I'm not worried about him…The media & people are killing him. New situation…what 18 games?…All the BS about what we gave up means nothing. If we win a championship ain't nobody give a damn how many picks we gave up. We can give up 15 picks, it don't matter. At the end of the day we're trying to win a championship, he's gonna be a key piece of that, and we need to continue to build him up. If you go out there & nitpick everything he does, that's only detriment to him. We're all gonna have a conversation with that, we gotta get him going, that's when we get the best version of Kal. It's 18 games…he's a helluva player, he's been to the Finals, he knows how to win. So we can calm down with all the criticism & nitpicking a guy who's won every time he's stepped on the court in any situation. A lot of people can't do what he does"
@mjm_op12@statmuse A little hard not to get annoyed when the sixers make a big fuss about the refs and then Joel shoots 21 free throws the next game. Obviously he’s amazing and brunson does benefit also I think I heard he shot like the 7th most free throws this season. He’s also half the size
@mjm_op12@statmuse I guess it’s not his fault he gets foul calls but how could somebody that big get all the calls he does it just makes no sense. He shot like 16 free throws last night. It’s terrible to watch, like when harden was doing it on the rockets
Immanuel Quickley says farewell to New York and the Knicks:
"Last but not least, I want to thank the fans for staying with us, for staying with me. I wish I could hug all of you guys. Every night you go out there on the court, you’re playing for the team above all else. But the way you guys embraced me gave me something to play for that was bigger than myself, bigger than the team. Every night, deep down I was playing for you.
I love this city from the bottom of my heart, and that will never change. To have gotten my start here means the world to me.
These things move so fast, it’s crazy that I’m already on the road with my new family. But it wouldn’t be right to leave without saying a little something just to let y’all know that the love is mutual.
It’ll be weird coming back to the Garden as a visitor and being in the visitors’ locker room. That’s gonna take some getting used to. All the weirdness and adjusting is all good, though. That’s life. Ultimately, it’s just another reminder that these past three years really meant something. And I owe you guys for that.
Thanks for making it matter."
