@DRFGrening You get tired of hearing trainers, racetracks and the racetrack’s mouthpieces complain about historic races like the Woodward being downgraded when a guy like Pletcher has 3 real good ones and not one of them will set foot on the track to contest it.
@tossthechalk@andyserling That’s the point. He’s never won a grade one without serious assistance. Twice by the connections and once was just dumb luck. Hard to miss that unless you are carrying someone’s water
@tennisabstract If he chooses to trade groundies, yep. A battle he’ll never win. Take advantage of that serve & cut the court off…that’s the key. He could absolutely win Wimbledon. Remember, most of the guys who played against McEnroe thought he was a typical quarterfinalist w/o the lefty serve
@DRFMcGee @BreedersCup@Riley_Mott@OaklawnRacing Years ago was walking Mott’s barn @keenelandracing. Big fan of Close Hatches and was sure I spotted her. Asked Riley who that was, “just a 2yo colt.”Next day in the paddock for Spinster and I see the same horse. “Riley, how’d you get that 2yo colt entered here?” Best of luck!
