One weird feature if the UK is that England covers just over half the land area but has 85% of the population.

This makes it among the most densely populated places on earth.

This map shows most of the places that have a higher population density (several are too small to see on the map) than England.

One notable country that is closing fast is India, which will soon overtake England with a higher population density.
