The officer protected himself by getting out of the way. Him leaning back in front of the car to shoot her in the head is not defense. That’s offense. Please advise

@APompliano A right to self-defense isn’t synonymous with administering lethal force across the board. How do we define “self defense” AFTER getting out of the way? Had Ms Goode hit the officer, fled and been arrested, would she be charged with a capital crime? No. Yet she got the punishment

We have impulses instead of a doctrine. Dems need more nuanced critique of the premise bc the empirical outcome is good

@hesham786 Think about the alternative though. A manager in flux doesn’t have the foundation to get buy-in from players or in recruitment. This vote of confidence at least removes the option of a quick fix, which hasn’t worked in 12 years.

@hesham786 Were we watching the same game? Abysmal?? He’s one of the few who makes the ball stick when we try to progress from the back, he plays around the corner, he’s the best presser on the pitch, and he runs his socks off. A few passes didn’t come off but he’s part of the solution
