@ishapiro@AlexiLalas How is it that disliking or not preferring an analyst = wanting a niche elitist sport? That’s a quantum leap.
Lex has the burden of being one of the loudest and most prominent voices for a decade. Sometimes ppl want different. See rise in Men in Blazers popularity as exhibit A
@hesham786 We do it first to benchmark the spending so the bids to Forest/Palace/WestHam/Madrid look like an improvement on business done already. This guy fills a void and improves a squad but isn’t in the best XI. Playing chess with the market here.
@elonmusk **We live in a constitutional federal republic where federal judges are appointed. Take issue with their appointments or decisions but please don’t misinform your massive audience. Judges are appointed to interpret the law. Disagreeing with them doesn’t make them “activists.”
A 25 year career federal agent who oversaw use of force investigations for homeland security gives his opinion, which is more valuable than the infinite random takes of morons on the Internet.
@EeeSei006@guypbenson Much of the public argument is that the agent followed his training as was therefore justified in his actions.
The officer protected himself by getting out of the way. Him leaning back in front of the car to shoot her in the head is not defense. That’s offense. Please advise
@APompliano A right to self-defense isn’t synonymous with administering lethal force across the board. How do we define “self defense” AFTER getting out of the way? Had Ms Goode hit the officer, fled and been arrested, would she be charged with a capital crime? No. Yet she got the punishment
@EricBalchunas@AndrewSolender@axios A few things are true. Maduró bad, Venezuela a great business opportunity, Trump hypocritical and unpredictable in which standards and rules he uses to govern. We have impulses instead of a doctrine. Dems need more nuanced critique of the premise bc the empirical outcome is good
@hesham786 Think about the alternative though. A manager in flux doesn’t have the foundation to get buy-in from players or in recruitment. This vote of confidence at least removes the option of a quick fix, which hasn’t worked in 12 years.
@hesham786 Were we watching the same game? Abysmal?? He’s one of the few who makes the ball stick when we try to progress from the back, he plays around the corner, he’s the best presser on the pitch, and he runs his socks off. A few passes didn’t come off but he’s part of the solution
Kobbie must play. You deal with the learning curve of positional sense to bring more creation into the team. 3 CBs with a CDM like Ugarte just grinds build up to a stop.
