THROWBACK THURSDAY - In 2014, I attended an outreach in St. Paul that featured two deejays. I already met Matthew John Bentley the previous year at the Future Sound of Worship gathering near Detroit, Michigan. I’ve since encountered Ben Krey at other events.
A prophetess has warned against this Bible. Another woman claimed, “it adds and takes away from the Word of God which is forbidden in Revelations.” I replied, “Look at the title of the last book in your Bible. There is no ‘s’ on the end. Isn't that adding to the Word of God?” 🤔
THROWBACK THURSDAY - On this day 17 years ago, Michael Jackson died. Years bere while pursuing a music career, I bought a jacket similar to the one Michael wore in his “Thriller” video. This promo pic was taken in 1987. Four years after that, I recommitted my life to the Lord.
I’ve already cut back on eating out because of rising food prices. It would be better for restaurant owners to pay their employees better. A tip should be given in recognition of outstanding service. Pressuring customers for tips is corporate panhandling. Read 2 Corinthians 9:7.
God can turn an alcoholic into an apostolic, a pill-popper into a tongue-talker, a joint-roller into a holy-roller, a zero into a hero, a nobody into a somebody, and an ain’t into a saint. However, one must be willing to go from the crack house to the church house. Read Ps. 92:13
During a revival meeting, one preacher gave an altar call for those with female problems. Ten women and one man got in the prayer line. He asked the man, “What is your problem?”
He answered, “Females.”
THROWBACK THURSDAY - It was 31 years ago today that the Brownsville Revival began in Pensacola, Florida. Just over two years later, I made the first of many visits there, which also marked my first time ever in the Sunshine State.
As an evangelist, I’m disturbed by Christians who deny the reality of the eternal torment awaiting those who reject the Savior. If hell didn’t exist, why bother telling sinners about Jesus? Some argue hell is not mentioned in the Old Testament. Read Daniel 12:2 and Ezekiel 3:18.
Steve Hill (who preached confrontational sermons) got born again and delivered from drugs after a Lutheran vicar had him repeatedly say the name of Jesus. Steve pointed out he didn’t go through the Four Spiritual Laws or some other popular evangelism method. Read Romans 10:13.
Today is the tenth anniversary of the Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando, Florida. 49 people were murdered plus many others wounded. At least one of the latter gave his life to Christ afterward. Read 2 Peter 3:9. https://t.co/H2CjvOvzFW
