@jowrotethis I find the history of Brits in Hollywood fascinating. Julian Sands was one of those British actors who went to Hollywood with a tailwind of great UK work. And then, not much. I'd include actors like Michael York, Tim Curry and even Malcom McDowell in the list.

@jowrotethis It is worth pointing out that Jean Marsh and Eileen Atkins created the popular 70s TV series Upstairs Downstairs (Marsh was in most episodes).
In case people haven't seen it, it was a cheaper 70s Downton Abbey.
Marsh was also 2 characters in Doctor Who in 60s & 80s
