Headwinds that saw her popularity tank the minute she announced her candidacy. I don’t think it’s crazy to wonder what kind of headwinds a black woman with a Jewish husband and a blended family will face. Is this the year we want to risk that? When project 2025 is on the line?
My two cents: replacing Biden right now will, and I do mean will, make a lot of older voters feel like we’ve turned our backs on them. It’s short sighted to thumb your nose at the most consistent voting block in exchange for… what exactly?
Because while you’re doing the complaining, someone else is calling volunteers, getting petitions signed, and knocking on doors. And they aren’t necessarily the ones who share your values. By sitting out, you let others set the table you have to sit at.
And be grown up enough to face the fact that not everyone agrees with you, and if they don’t they aren’t necessarily horrible people. Change requires hard work. Don’t just hop on the internet to complain about Biden or Hillary or whoever you don’t think is progressive enough.
