1. provide gear that actually meaningfully changes the gameplay style
2. make the maps more explorable and not linear
3. provide multiplayer options
4. have the Roaring Storm surround the map and shrink to eventually trap the player in a battle roya

Deltarune might not be a bad game, but it's for sure a bad RPG. One of the worst ones out there. And so at the very least it's just false advertising.
