@Bishopoftyler Actually Jesus aspired to return Judaism to its true calling as the people of God. He never envisioned a separate or Roman church. Twas the followers, especially Paul, who set up the Catholic Church. John's community felt especially slighted/upset when bounced from the synagogue.

@Bishopoftyler Actually Jesus never founded the catholic church. He felt his mission was to return the lost sheep of Israel to God Father Abba to restore true Judaism. Twas Paul and later followers that set up the Roman Catholic Church. Read Ray Brown on this.
