Wisconsin based, all-volunteer organization of parents, not affiliated with any particular school or national organization. Advocating for parents for 20 years!
Online charter schools have worked in Wisconsin for twenty years. It’s time for equitable funding, sane state testing protocols, and equal opportunity for kids to participate in extra curricular activities.
The Wisconsin Coalition of Virtual School Families is a Wisconsin based, all-volunteer, dues-free organization of parents, not affiliated with any particular school or national organization. The WCVSF has been independently advocating for online learners here for 20 years.
This year we’re pushing for equal opportunity and fair funding for our students. The current funding formula short changes online charter students, and even singles them out by restricting their access to extracurricular activities. https://t.co/sT0xEDIqWX
We look forward to working with everyone, regardless of political party or which part of the state they call home. Our champions are anyone who’s willing to fight for fairness and increased educational opportunity for children in Wisconsin.
Some politicians get bogged down in old, fruitless battles.
Leaders focus on what works.
Empower families and education will improve.
Public. Private. Charter. Blended. Online. All of it.

No thanks, Madison. #ITrustParents
Forcing young students to repeatedly travel (sometimes hundreds of miles) to unfamiliar locations to take standardized tests makes no sense. Under such stressful and abnormal conditions the data from these tests are unreliable. Kids who learn online deserve better options.
DPI released new scale scores for the Forward Exam recently. There are a number of changes to the Exam scores this year, some of which were made in a closed door meeting that required signing an NDA to attend (🧵)
Well, the Primaries are over and now we know the legislative candidates for the November election.
Come earn our votes.
Support online charter schools. Pledge to strip DPI and others of the ability to veto Open Enrollment decisions.
