The NBA says there was one incorrect call in last night’s Game 1 on this play of Jalen Brunson against Devin Vassell.

The league says Vassell should’ve been called for a foul for stepping toward Brunson after he started his shooting motion.

@Ndnfkdn140508 @sny_knicks Brunson will get in front of defenders and slow down to draw contact as he is shooting, or pump fake and try to get contact as he is shooting. In both scenarios, as in the clip that’s going around, he is trying to make a shot AND get the foul. Thats different from just flailing.
