Here’s an idea, @GovKathyHochul: instead of sending New Yorkers bribe checks weeks before Election Day, give us our damn money back.

Nearly $3 BILLION collected from New Yorkers through utility-bill surcharges is sitting with NYSERDA and in utility escrow accounts.

New Yorkers already paid that money. It’s theirs.

Now Kathy Hochul wants to mail you a measly $200 check and act like Albany is doing you a favor.

That math doesn’t add up.

New Yorkers don’t need election-year gimmicks. They need lower bills, accountability, and their money back.

As Comptroller, I’ll audit Albany, follow the money, expose waste and fraud, and fight to return every dollar that should never have been sitting in government accounts in the first place.
