“I don’t need you to think, just do.”
That’s how creativity dies.
That’s how fear grows.
That’s how leaders become dictators.
If you don’t want thinkers, you don’t deserve doers either.
To call you lot rats in suits would be an injustice to rats, who at least scavenge, survive, and sustain the cycle of life. You, on the other hand, consume without giving back, a parody of existence that even maggots’ shit outshines.
Book the room. Pay for the spa. Swipe the card for the flight. Your presence won’t bring us anything but headache, why are y’all so entitled? Want the luxury? Pay for em.
You make more in one show than most people make in a year, but suddenly you’re allergic to paying for your own vacation? Call the CDC, we’ve got a frugality outbreak.
A female celebrity with 23 million followers, six figures a show and still begging for a free Bali trip with flights, spa, and meals? Sweetheart, that’s not a collaboration — that’s you auditioning for The Real Housewives of Entitlement. The audacity!
And if this is a business partner, it’s even worse to not show up when you have RSVP’d to their event. And you can’t be salty the next time they don’t invite you to their event.
The host is not obligated to invite you, and you are not entitled to being invited. If I organize a party and invite you, it’s because you matter to me and I’d want you there. But by not showing up, being flaky, that shows the kind of person you are.
If you RSVP’d and tell the host you’re coming, don’t cancel or bail. The host has to prepare the venue, hire caterer, prepare whatever the shit they have to for that event. Bailing or not showing up, is a total disrespect to the host.
Let’s talk about invitations shall we?
When someone sent you one, means that host wants you at their event. You have the choice to attend or not. But for the love of everything good, make up your mind and commit to it. It’s a simple yes or no.
