Checkout is being built around Solana’s token infrastructure:

• A mint address identifies the coin
• Token accounts record balances
• A separate program defines protocol logic
For the planned handle-based coins, that means connecting token ownership with rules for creator fees and settlement.

We’re building Checkout’s payment register around confirmed Solana transactions, giving each recorded payout a public reference anyone can inspect.

A snapshot gives each vote its weight.

- Checkout’s voting design saves token balances when a proposal is created. Those saved balances determine voting weight throughout that proposal.

- Holders sign their choice with a Solana wallet. Ed25519 verification checks the signature, and each voting request expires after a limited time and can be used only once.

Votes are recorded offchain. Executing a decision is a separate step.
