How gitcash works ↓
Good code deserves more than a star.
gitcash turns attention around open-source repositories into support for the people building them.
Pick a repository
Choose a public GitHub repo with an active GitHub Sponsors recipient.
Verify the recipient
gitcash checks the repository’s funding links and verifies the linked public GitHub Sponsors profile.
Launch the community coin
Choose a supported launch destination, review the recipient and costs, then approve the transaction with your wallet.
Creator fees accrue
Trading follows the launchpad’s fee rules. Creator fees are attributed to the verified GitHub Sponsors recipient.
Fees support the maintainer
Net creator fees are intended to flow through the treasury, conversion and payment process into a one-time GitHub sponsorship.
One repository.
One verified recipient.
A community backing the people behind the code.
Built for open source.
Launch repos, not just coins.

Open-source software depends on maintainers who spend time building, fixing, and supporting tools that anyone can use. Funding that work is often difficult.
gitcash is exploring a way to connect a community token with the GitHub repository behind a project, so the community can support the people building it.
