As of April 6th, 2024, UK employees enjoy a reduced National Insurance rate of 8%, down from 10% earlier this year and 12% in 2023.
Self-employed individuals also caught a break, with Class 4 NI contributions dropping from 9% to 6% ๐

In the meantime you still need to carry your in-date BRP whenever you travel out of the UK until it expires so you donโt have any difficulties at border control.

If you hold a BRP that expires on the 31st Dec 2024, you will need to take actionโผ๏ธ
The UK govt is replacing all physical immigration documents like the BRP with eVisas.
This means from 1st Jan 2025, the Home Office will no longer issue BRPs, BRCs, visa vignette and
entry clearances.
Before the expiration of your document, the home office will contact you with information on how to set up your UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account to access your new eVisa.
Th UKVI account will also hold details of your immigration status.
